Espacio Educativo en la Naturaleza
Who we are
We take our name from the wallcreeper (treparriscos, in Spanish), a stunning bird that has found its home among the mountains, just as we have chosen the natural surroundings and ridges of La Pedriza as the main stage and setting for a brand new learning space.
The wallcreeper, though small in size, flies entirely free, in the same way we wish to see our children grow. Its erratic flight-pattern—akin to a butterfly’s—, sets the tone for the change we aim to bring about, both within our project and without. Ours is a common initiative in which we all jump together from one rock to another and climb high to overcome any obstacle, no matter the challenge, in the search to fulfil each and every one of our dreams.
And so a new journey begins among the rocks and trees: a new learning space aimed at ages 1-6, self-managed by the neighbouring families of Manzanares el Real with the aid of professional childcarers specialising in Non-Directive Teaching and Active Education.
We are located in the mountain shelter of a wonderful house, close to Guadarrama National Park.
Our opening times are Jun-Sept, Mon-Fri, 9AM-3.30PM.
Groups of infants of up to 2 years will be a maximum of 4 per childcarer.
Groups of children aged 3-6 will be a maximum of 8 per childcarer.
Treparriscos is a brand new space in which everyone is welcome to grow freely, play, laugh, cry, explore, and above all, to share in the experience.
