The pedagogical bases that represent a distinctive treatment of Badalot are based on creating an environment in which materials, proposals and corners are offered in order to facilitate the self-directed learning of children, in coexistence with others and where, above all, the process and not the objective is the center of interest. Life is a constant take of decision and believing in each child's ability to choose, we respect it. We want to be in relation to the world, so that all the activities developed have a direct impact on reality, therefore, we encourage interaction between people, inclusion, food, the environment, research and cooperation with other projects in the environment.
The methodology focuses on welcoming the evolutionary stages of children development in a natural way, providing the opportunity for each one to be in their present and learn from there. This learning based on the present makes the child keep in touch with her emotions, experiences, and experiences so that everything gain meaning and sense. Playing, creativity, manipulation, emotional management, responsibility, autonomy, self-regulation and critical thinking will be central elements.
The project was born in 2019 from a group of families with children at the age of six coming from two different projects of active, viva and libre educacion in Barcelona. We are actually located in the Poblenou neighborhood.
In the activities with the children there are 2 educators who take turns and punctually an expert in math games. Among the driving families of the project, we have distributed the internal roles necessary for its operation: pedagogical manager, secretary, management and dissemination.
