Espai Obert La Serra is a small, cooperatively managed school located amidst vineyards and forests in the town of Sant Pere de Ribes. Our pedagogy is based on the principles of Educación Viva. Autonomy, self-regulation, and the participation of children are very important to us, both in their learning process and in decision-making. Free movement is a key aspect of our project, as well as close guidance in relationships and individual development. We foster curiosity so that interests can arise as broadly and diversely as possible.
Recognised by the Generalitat of Catalonia since 2015, we are one of the pioneering schools in this pedagogical methodology.
We follow active education as our main pedagogical guide. This educational approach essentially consists of allowing each individual to guide their own learning process.
