The Chestnut Tree was conceived in 2021.
After years of experience in different countries, international and public schools, the founders wanted to develop a system they believed in.
Their vision is to create a place where children, families and educators come together as a community, where transparency and values are exercised pro education and we all learn to peacefully embrace our environment and connect our hearts to it.
Certified by Gaia Education (UNESCO Sustainability Program) and practicing Swiss culture, from which we are in the process of certification as Swiss International School, we adapted our curriculum to integrate the Swiss & Spanish Curriculum outdoors. We teach English, German, Catalan, Castellano & Chinese, we have a strong emphasis in:
- Science, Forest ecology, Soil & Gardening,
- Geography & History are research programs.
- Mathematics & Strategy are part of creative thinking.
- Arts e.g., piano, violin, choir, theatre, cooking, yoga and painting.
We are located at the country side under 7 hectares of beautiful mediterranean forest.
