ABOUT MOMENTUM:
Since 2020, Atalanta space has been welcoming, supporting, and training volunteers from different countries. Significant examples include students from the Waldorf schools in Berlin and Hamburg (Germany) and students from the Lille University of Engineering (France). In both cases, their schools invite students to seek out and experience community experiences outside their hometowns.
The space has always been open to coexistence, as well as the exchange of support and knowledge. One of the driving forces behind the project and the space has been its commitment to self-management: there is self- and collective- production of ecological products, waste is self-managed and transformed, there is an emphasis placed on the reuse of construction materials, etc.
The experience of the people who have visited the space has been largely transformative (according to their feedback). It is precisely from these people that the idea or proposal to create this camp was born.
MOMENTUM is designed to accompany young people to connect with themselves, nature, and each other. Through hands-on activities and personal reflection, participants will develop confidence, autonomy, and practical life skills in a supportive and inspiring environment. Attention and support offered based on age and needs.
KEY FEATURES:
• A flexible program tailored to each participant's energy and interests.

HOW IT WORKS:
The first few days introduce all activities, and then participants can choose their focus areas, deepening their practice. There is also the possibility for adolescents themselves to propose or offer activities or projects that interest them. Likewise, kitchen shifts and maintenance of common spaces will be self-organised on a rotating basis A key theme is overcoming fear of mistakes to embrace learning and creativity. Participants will work in groups of 13-15 and 16-19 years old, with opportunities for collaboration between them.
