Our project is based on achieving a school where children's respect is above all. Families are included in that respect and their upbringing choices (nutrition, cloth diapers, breastfeeding, baby led weaning, ...)
Taking as a reference Emmy Pickler's (Hungarian pediatrician) educational line, we are giving a lot of importance to individuality, especially in personal times such as: eating, sleeping, cleaning. Giving the baby time to intervene and observe, prioritizing his needs.
We follow the rythm day to day marked by the children, as well as their growing and learning process. Children are never forced into any stage, they guide instead in their process.
Movement and free play is promoted and free movement spaces are proposed, where a whole floor is offered with different ambience and proposals; it is the children who choose what they want to play. Materials are well thought and high quality. Our pedagogy is based on different pedagogical flows such as Reggio Emilia, Emmy Pickler, Montessori...
We vouch for a healthy nutrition with our own kitchen, healthy cooking, ecological and proximity food. Children can enjoy our fantastic garden where they can be in touch with nature.
All of this is made possible thanks to our reduced ratios and having two teachers per group. Families have the freedom to stay at school as long as they like to. Adaptation process is completely flexible. Families can take as many times as they need for that process and can accompany children during the day, favouring with their presence integrating into this new context from a safe situation. Step by step, and once everyone is ready, they will start having small separations until achieving the shcedule they need.
Conflict resolution is key in our project. From a respectful perspective and without judgement we try for the children involved to connect with their emotions, giving a voice to both parts, time is stopped to prioritize resolution and finding an agreement.
Free movement is another pillar of our school. Once a week there are psychomotor activities, with a psychomotor therapist based on the pedagogy of Bernat Aucouturier.
We are a teacher cooperative who are in love with our job, we vouch for continued education and reasoning of our educational practices.
