The school is located in Malaga, Spain and we officially opened our doors for the 3 to 6-year group on 3rd January 2019. We are getting ready to formally open for Elementary in September 2019.
The founders and owners, Inés and Imre set up Beworldwise after trying to find a school for their two children aligned with the Montessori pedagogy and principles and their own values as a family.
There is currently 1 Montessori guide in place for the 3-6 environment. By September, the 6-9 environment will also be ready with more guides and assistants in place, to officially open elementary.
The school has an International atmosphere and projection, with English as the vehicular language. We have permissions in place from the Spanish municipality and International accreditation through NEASC.
The focus of activity in our Montessori classroom setting is on the child’s experience within the environment. Our environment is designed to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of the children within the class. Teachers adapt the environment through modifying the selection of educational materials available, the physical layout and equipment in the classroom, and shifting the tone of the class to fit the ever-changing needs of the children. Generally, students will work individually or in small self-selected groups. Community meetings or “circle times” are scheduled so as not to interrupt the child’s work and are usually held at transitional points during the day.
In addition to the school there will be a Nomad programme, a Beworldwise Village, conferences and exchanges and a European summer camp.
Our objective is to make use of the Montessori school network all over the world. The Beworldwise plan is to facilitate cultural immersion experiences in other countries within that Montessori school group.
We envisage that children will travel with their families and their Montessori guide (as part of their comfort zone) to another Montessori school. For approximately 2-4 weeks they will attend a Montessori classroom, within their age group, with the companion of their own guide, who will keep a record of their progress.
Beworldwise Conferences and Exchanges
In conjunction with the International school visits, Imre and Inés have a separate coaching and leadership company called Effectim and are both professional coach and facilitators offering individual and team coaching for profit / non-profit organisations. Their key specialties are educational learning behaviours, empowerment, motivation and leadership.
They held some successful International leadership conferences in India, for example at Peeves Public school in Kerala and it proved a great success.
Imre and Inés will continue to offer more of these conferences for children within the Montessori network.
Beworldwise Village – Malaga, Spain
This is our village of wooden houses, situated next to the school, where we will welcome and encourage families to visit our school.
The houses will be adapted to and relevant for the different age groups, where the children can develop their social abilities. They can work on projects in a specially designed environment, encouraging independence and to play the role of the host of their own village. They will have a coach available to invite them to think, reflect and make their own decisions, working together on leadership skills for life.
The plan is to have the very first wooden house ready in September 2019 prepared for the 6-9 age group as a start-up of the BWW village.
