The Escuela del Pez Luna is a novel kindergarten and primary education project for children between 3 and 12 years old located in the Casa Quemada urbanization in Madrid.
We conceive the school as a home, a space for meeting and coexistence in which the entire educational community (children, teachers, families, collaborators, environment) is involved in its creation and care.
Our education is based on principles such as self-knowledge and intelligent human communication (emotional intelligence, communication tools, and human organization, active listening, non-violent communication, Gestalt, democratic education), freedom, respect and trust (to be , to have a personal reality and vision, and to choose and develop their own personal drift) and the commitment to the integral development of the child in its multiple dimensions and facets. Our methodology is typical of a personalized, lively and active education (prepared and relaxed environments, free play and movement, learning based on experience and internal motivation, personal drift assistance, and a constructivist evaluation system based on follow-up of the learning process.
We are located at Avda Casa Quemada, 5 in Madrid, in a beautiful space surrounded by green areas, very accessible by the A6 and M40 roads both by public transport (urban, interurban and commuter buses) and by private transport. It consists of two large and bright buildings of 340 m2 for the Infant cycle and another of 520 m2 for the Primary cycle, all surrounded by a lush landscaped space of more than 5,600m2.
The Escuela del Pez Luna is a project that consolidates our commitment to childhood, developing and promoting a different and avant-garde education.
