QUIENES SOMOS
La Asociación para el desarrollo de la Pedagogía Waldorf El Lucero nace en 2010. Es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro de familias y docentes que estamos trabajando para crear una escuela de educación Infantil y Primaria, basada en la Pedagogía Waldorf. Es un proyecto social, consolidado y de futuro.
La Pedagogía Waldorf se encuentra en la actualidad en plena fase de expansión, con iniciativas que van surgiendo en diferentes puntos de España, y en general, a nivel internacional. Y Tenerife no es una excepción. Existen un buen número de iniciativas afines, fundamentalmente para niños de hasta 6 años, y a nuestro proyecto se han ido sumando otros que han visto en la unión una fuerza para conseguir nuestro objetivo.
Existe una demanda creciente de una nueva forma de educar, basada en el respeto, en la libertad, en los ritmos individuales de cada niño, en los ritmos de la Naturaleza. Y atendiendo a esta demanda y a la confianza que tenemos en que otra educación es posible, nace El Lucero
QUÉ OFRECEMOS
Actualmente tenemos en marcha un Jardín de Infancia para niños de 2 a 6 años, ubicado en el municipio de Tegueste. El Jardín es como un gran hogar, organizado en torno a las necesidades de los niños que acuden a él: el ambiente, el ritmo, la capacidad de imitación, el adulto educador, el juego libre, los materiales, las actividades artísticas y artesanales, el contacto con la naturaleza y por supuesto las familias.
También tenemos un proyecto de Educación Primaria en funcionamiento. Nuestra iniciativa se encuentra en la actualidad en un proceso de homologación, y por ello, padres y maestros estamos trabajando para acondicionar un espacio que permita crear la primera escuela Waldorf de Primaria de la isla de Tenerife.
WHO WE ARE
Our association was founded in 2010. It is a non-profit association of families and teachers working together to establish an early childhood and primary school based on Waldorf pedagogy. It is a well-established social project with a vision for the future.
The Waldorf pedagogy is currently experiencing a period of significant growth, with initiatives emerging in different parts of Spain and, more broadly, around the world. Tenerife is no exception. There are a number of like-minded initiatives, primarily for children up to the age of six, and other projects have joined ours, recognising that working together makes us stronger and brings us closer to achieving our goal.
There is a growing demand for a new approach to education, one based on respect, freedom, each child's individual rhythms, and the rhythms of nature. In response to this demand, and guided by our belief that a different kind of education is possible, El Lucero was born.
WHAT WE OFFER
We currently run a kindergarten for children aged two to six in the municipality of Tegueste. The kindergarten is like a large family home, organised around the needs of the children who attend it. Its educational approach takes into account the environment, daily rhythms, children's capacity for imitation, the role of the adult educator, free play, materials, artistic and craft activities, contact with nature and, of course, families.
We also have an active primary education project. Our initiative is currently undergoing the official accreditation process. As part of this process, parents and teachers are working together to prepare a suitable space for the establishment of the first Waldorf primary school on the island of Tenerife.
