Kikiriki is a cozy and quiet place with a huge window that leads directly to the Royal Palace. Taking advantage of the space was essential for the project to make sense, since the pedagogical idea that we defend can not be understood if it is not immersed in a well-kept space and in a pleasant environment; the 200 luminous square meters in the middle of the Madrid of the Austrias give good account of it.
The Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner defended his idea of freedom: 'to be free is to be able to think one's thoughts; not merely corporeal thoughts or thoughts of society, but the thoughts generated by our innermost and deepest, most original, most essential and spiritual being, our individuality. ' And it is these ideas that served as a starting point to structure the pedagogical system that we defend in Kikiriki, focused on fostering children's innate desire to learn, allowing them to play freely and enhancing their ability to relate and resolve conflicts while It helps them develop a healthy self-esteem, without the need to constantly intervene to correct their behavior.
In the Kikiriki school - for babies from 1 to 3 years old - the rhythms of the development of the smallest and the smallest are respected. In our school we are committed to a respectful methodology on both the physical and psychological levels, and for this, we rely on the latest advances in neuroscience and neuroeducation.
In addition to the school, in Kikiriki there is an interesting offer of workshops and concerts, both during the week and on weekends. We also have a playroom and play group in the afternoon. In addition, we organize birthdays and urban camps for vacations and days without school; this summer, which begins with the kick-off of the holidays and ends on July 31, will be inspired by the seven arts: painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, dance, music and film.
